Laminates
We recommend either gloss or matt laminating coated boards to prevent the risk of cracking when creasing against the grain. More specialised films are available for example, anti-scuff, antibacterial and biodegradable.

Spot UV and Foiling
Spot UV is a varnish which can be applied accurately on to matt laminate for highlighting items, for example areas of text. Likewise, foiling can be applied to area for dramatic effect using standard silver or gold foils, but there are may other colours available.

Embossing/debossing
Embossing is where the board is raised by pressure creative a tactile enhancement. Debossing is the same, except the board is inverted.

Inserts
To add a further dimension to your project most cartons can have high density foam inserts or printed folded box board inserts.
